Welcome to the new forum for anyone who is interested in unicycles.
My name is Mark, the primary purpose here is to get people together for rides,
but this will go where it wants to!
Personal Uni History:
I started riding in Tempe during the late 60's when I was about 7 or 8 years old.
Some of my friends rode and we would spend many days in the summer, or on weekends
riding unicycles, skateboards and bikes all around ASU campus. It was a giant playground
with many wonderful structures to challenge your riding skills....and get you in trouble...
After over 35 years of hiatus, I only started seriously riding again in about 2015.
After a couple of years just riding around the U of A and occasionally ASU, I decided to start
riding travel destinations.
My first big trip was in 2017 when I rode about 200 miles in Paris over the course of 2 weeks.
I also rode in Normandy and Guernsey Island.
This last year I have rode in:
London Bridge (Lake Havasu), Death Valley, Hood River, Or, Bellingham Wa, and the main
streets of: Prescott Az, Jerome Az, Clarkdale Az, Cottonwood Az, Flagstaff Az, Rachel Nv, Tonopah Nv,
Placerville Ca, Tempe Az,
I have met a number of unicyclists in Tucson, but have not yet had a ride with any of them,
so after meeting 2 people who ride at the winter fair Dec. 2019, we exchanged numbers and I
put up this venue...
I currently have a 26" Torker set up for off road.
A 29" uni.com frame with Titus prototype cranks and a custom wheel with chrome/moly hub and
a Nimbus frame with a Sun wheel assembly. Both 29s have Goodyear mountain bike tires
because they are only about $13 bucks and I'm not going to spend $80 on a Continental tire....
